What is the transaction support feature in SSIS and how to configure it?

transaction support feature SSIS
If a package fails in the middle then SSIS used this functionality to start the execution from the place where it failed. Also the transactions gets roll-backed aswell if needed.
Supported – Parent object has initiated a transaction and child package will participate in it this transaction
Required – This will create and start a new transaction
NotSupported – This will not support the transaction
We need to enable MS DTC (Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator) Windows Service for transaction support

32-bit ole db provider “msolap” cannot be loaded in-process on a 64-bit sql server

msolap cannot be loaded
The issue occurs if you rebuild index sometimes due to registry corruption

For this issue you need to deregister and register the dll files again. This will basically overwrites the 32 bit dll with the 64 bit dll.

Deregister Steps:

regsvr32 /u “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Analysis Services\AS OLEDB\110\msolap110.dll”

regsvr32 /u “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\AS OLEDB\110\msolap110.dll”

Register Steps:

regsvr32 “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Analysis Services\AS OLEDB\110\msolap110.dll”

regsvr32 “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\AS OLEDB\110\msolap110.dll”

What is Azure ?

Azure is a Microsoft public cloud computing service. This is a world wide network and providing services like Compute, Analytic, Storage, data management, Network and security. They can run the applications on the internet also providing the BI tools to explore. In Azure you can Build, Test and Deploy application. You can ensure your data safety in the Azure cloud network. The platform is mainly helpful for saving money and having High speed interface no matter where they are accessing. Advanced services like predictive analysis are integrated in the environment.
Using the BI Tool of SSIS we can import or export data to the Azure cloud service.

Tabular Model in SSAS

Tabular Model SSAS

Tabular models are in-memory databases in Analysis Services. The xVelocity in-memory analytics engine (VertiPaq) delivers fast access to tabular model objects and data by reporting client applications such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power View.

Tabular models support data access through two modes: Cached mode and DirectQuery mode.
In cached mode, you can integrate data from multiple sources including relational databases, data feeds, and flat text files.
In DirectQuery mode, you can bypass the in-memory model, allowing client applications to query data directly at the (SQL Server relational) source.
